Sometime in November of 2006, Nintendo release the groundbreaking new video game console called the Wii. When it was first released it was almost impossible to get because of the high demand. We finally picked one up for the boys the following year – Alex would have been 9 years old and Sam was still just 5 years old. The boys and probably Mom and Dad, spent quite a few hours over the next few years playing the Wii but eventually it was replaced by the Sony Playstation 2 or PS3. At some point we got Alex a Playstation 4 and Sam a Xbox 360 and we eventually didn’t play the Wii anymore, but we did keep it and most of the games. That would have probably been around 2014?? Anyway, when we moved there was discussion around throwing out the old games, but the boys said No and they made the trip. In January, Dad hooked the Wii back up and everyone managed to play a few games. We still have to check some of the other games and probably try to get the extra 2 controllers working so 4 of us can play at the same time… but it proved to be just as much fun this year as it was when we first got it. 😀
