It appears a disgruntled Harry Potter is getting ready to perform a spell on Pikachu??

Alex’s soccer team won their first round game in the Regional event, so they now move on to the next round which will be in Winston-Salem, NC on Tuesday. This is a single elimination tournamaent, so if they win they will have more games – we are just not sure where. The last game Alex got a little bit of playing time in and got in on a few plays, the game before though went into overtime and he didn’t see any action. Alex has been hinting around at trying out for the basketball team??

Alex has had a couple of big projects due in school recently,,,,,
The first one was a science project, he had to collect 20 insects and name them with their latin names and classes. He posted them on a poster board we painted green and then had them pinned to a smaller piece of foam core to make them stick out a little. He only received an 88% on this mostly because he didn’t have very good handwriting. The other project was to tell the story of the seven days of creation (this was for History class) – at least he received a 100% on this one…. of course he had a little bit of help since he waited until the last day to complete it.

So we went to the NC Seafood Festival this weekend and it was really crowded – too many people and the lines for food were pretty long. They also had lots of crafts booths, including some people selling photos – although other than a couple, I think Lis and mine are better. We only stayed a couple of hours, but we did get a chance to meet up with Drew, Reid and Kelly at the festival.
