New Tent….

Alex and Sam got a new tent from Nana today – it’s not a real tent, but a tent that goes on top of their bed. Mom made the mistake of assembling it downstairs and then they had a lot of trouble getting it upstairs -finally disassembling it and re-assembling it after quite a few tears had been shed. After all was said and done we had two very excited boys…..

Haircut…..

Unlike their father, the boys have a lot of hair (they probably get that from their beautiful Mother). Sam got a haircut tonight – one of Mom’s better ones. Sam wants to take his bag of hair to school, but that probably isn’t a good idea….

Sam starts soccer this year!

Sam started playing soccer this year at our local Boys & Girls club. The games are inside a big gym so everyone stays warm – including Mom and Dad. He only has 4 games; this is a beginner league to get him ready for next year. Alex will continue to play in the fall and Sam will play in the spring.

It Snowed!!

Sam finally gets to see snow! We didn’t get much, but Sam was very excited as he has never seen snow. Sam didn’t have enough snow to make a snowman, so he was trying to use the soccer balls. Alex was of course born in New Hampshire so he has seen snow before (plus we had a big snow storm the year Sam was born).

Aunt Sue came over to visit and got to meet the boys for the first time (last time she was here was our wedding!). The boys still ask when she is going to visit again.

Lis’s Christmas Tree

This is the second year we have had an all silver tree – Lis added quite a few new elements to the tree this year and it turned out great! We also got a new sofa for the family room – Thanks David and Diane.

Chistmas was a lot of fun this year – we had Aunt Beckie, Grammy, Aunt Courtney and Aunt Sue all visiting us. Of course this was also the first year that Nana and Gungung were living across the street. Here are some of our photos….

Alex has decided he wants to be an astronomer….he got his first telescope this year and he got a few astronomy books.

Sam loves music and this year he got a piano with a microphone – it didn’t take him long to figure out how to use it… (Alex has one of his astronomy books).
